We have been confirmed to play the Unsigned Stage 18.30 – 19.15 on Sat 22nd August and we can’t wait to rock the stage.
Our new Album The Colour of Magic will be on sale all weekend at the festival.
The guys at 24OurMusic were kind enough to write us a review on our new song ‘Beautiful Stranger.’ Some very kind words and they gave it an overall score of 8.7!
“The first time I heard “Beautiful Stranger”, I found it difficult to put my reaction into words… but I suppose it’s a testament to a band’s abilities when your immediate reaction to hearing their song for the first time is “okay, this would probably be really cool to see performed live”. I believe the ‘steak’ comparison is a pretty good one, in that this song has a multitude of layers (or I suppose, ‘flavors’) that only surface gradually; the longer you sit with it, the better the experience is. First you’re hit with guitar – a pretty good dash of alt rock – before you’re immediately introduced to the trio’s funk rock side and a good dose of wah pedal use. The bottom ends of this trio also hold it down incredibly well. The steady groove of Fernando Tovar’s drumming coupled with Philip Van Den Brandeler’s technical finger work on the bass adds incredibly depth and balance to the track and shine brightly without overpowering or underwhelming.”

A little homegrown track from our home studio. Hopefully we’ll get a few more done by the end of the year.

Here’s a rearrangement we did of the song ‘Royals’ by Lorde. Isn’t adding extra chords to a song fun? Let’s hope that Robert Browning isn’t always right with his phrase ‘Less is More.’
